Athletics Victoria Shield League

Based at the historic Landy Field, Geelong is home to a number of historic clubs and high profile athletes who have shaped the Victorian athletic scene. Renowned for a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, the Geelong Region conducts competition for all abilities and ages.

​AVSL is an inter-club competition focused on getting involved and having fun. It is a team based competition that offers a variety of Track and Field events and disciplines throughout the AVSL competition season.

TUES 14 – Zatopek: 10 Lower Grades @ Aberfeldie
SAT 18 – AVSL Round 6

SAT 8 – SUN 9 – Victorian Combined Events Championships @ Lakeside Stadium
SAT 15 – AVSL Round 7 (Twilight Meet, Vic Relay Qualifiers) @ Lakeside Stadium
SAT 22 – AVSL Round 8 (Twilight Meet, Vic Relay Qualifiers)
WED 26 – Zatopek: 10 & Victorian Relay Championships @ Lakeside Stadium
FRI 28 – SUN 30 – Victorian Country Championships @ Bendigo

SAT 5 – AVSL Round 9
SAT 12 – AVSL Round 10 @ Lakeside Stadium

NOTE: Athletics Australia has yet to finalise the event date for National Track and Field Championships. The positioning of this will dictate where we position Victorian State Track and Field Championships, AVSL Playoffs and the Victorian Masters Track and Field Championships. Once we are informed, we will notify members of the intended plans for the remaining AV season which will also include specialist and clubs meets.
